Welcome to Holdrege First United Methodist Church. We are a vibrant church family living by faith, known by love, and a voice of hope reaching out as the hands of Jesus, nurturing ourselves, our community and beyond to know the Spirit of Christ.

This website is the open door for you to find out about us as a body of Christ.  Our goal is to bring ourselves and others into a closer walk with Jesus.  Our prayer is that this can become a reality through our welcoming worship, our challenging study groups, our relational age-groups, our servant mission work, and our spiritual commitment to our individual and corporate prayer lives.

Love Does

Sermon Series
Starting January 20th

This is a study about God’s love… and the most amazing thing about that love is that it’s not a bunch of rules or stuff we have to agree with. God’s love is different. It changes things. It’s active. It works. It risks. God’s love… does.

Choose from two study sessions:

Tuesday evenings at 6:30 beginning January 15

Thursday mornings at 10:00 beginning January 17

Prayer & Healing service

Wednesday evenings at 5:00 in the Sanctuary

Come find a spot to be ‘alone’ with God. As you listen to the meditative music, turn your attention to what God is wanting you to hear.  This is a time for you to soak in God’s love for you. After a time of meditation, the group will suggest prayers for each other and persons on their hearts and minds.   Intercessory prayers for physical and emotional healing are offered. This time ends with a blessing extended to all participants.

We are currently collecting new and gently used bedding to donate to the Pine Ridge reservation.  If you have any sheet sets, blankets, or new pillows that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at the church during office hours.
